Parkland named one of 'Top 100 Hospitals to Work For' for nurses
DALLAS - Parkland Health & Hospital System has been named one of the 'Top 100 Hospitals to Work For' by Nursing Professionals magazine in its spring issue. Parkland is one of only five Texas hospitals on the list.

Parkland employs 2,393 nurses at the hospital and its network of primary care health centers. This includes registered nurses and many who practice in specialty areas including nurse midwives, certified registered nurse anesthetists, nurse practitioners and nurse educators. Parkland offers nurses countless educational courses in cardiac and critical care, Patient Care Assistant training and numerous residencies and internships in areas like trauma, surgery and neonatology to further our nurses' knowledge and skills.

"Nurses are one of a hospital's most precious resources, and often our most direct link with our patients," said Miriam Sibley, Parkland's chief nursing officer. "At Parkland we strive to be not just a place where nurses can work, but a place where they want to work. We are thrilled to receive this honor recognizing this effort."

Nursing Professionals surveyed 25,000 randomly selected hospital nurses throughout the country to measure job satisfaction. Questions covered a variety of topics including quality, diversity, flexible hours and a family-friendly environment.

Parkland Health & Hospital System is dedicated to the health and well-being of individuals and communities entrusted to its care. It has been named one of America's Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report for 15 consecutive years. For more information, please visit www.parklandhospital.com.
